The Merrion Hotel has become a second home to the troika, but next month it will host a different kind of trio. Soprano Anna Brady, tenor Eoin Hynes and baritone Nathan Morrison, of the Opera Theatre Company, will perform JS Bach’s Coffee Cantata for free in the garden of the hotel on May 12th and 13th.

“It’s a perfect little piece for the garden,” said Annilese Miskimmon, artistic director of the Opera Theatre Company. Three individual 40-minute performances will take place over the weekend. The performances are part of the European Opera Days initiative, now in its sixth year, which aims to bring opera into the mainstream. More than 80 opera companies around Europe will open their doors, free of charge, during the weekend.

Booking from 9am on Tuesday May 1st at eventbrite.ie.
