Farmers in the Republic should be producing £310 million a year in horticultural produce by 2006, the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food, Mr Noel Davern, said yesterday.

The target set by the Bord Glas development plan represented a £49 million increase in produce for consumption in the State.
