Lord Mayor of Dublin Paddy Bourke will launch the country's biggest equestrian event today.
The five-day Dublin Horse Show will run until Sunday at the RDS in Ballsbridge with highlights including the National Crafts Competition, Student Art Awards Exhibition, Evian Ladies' Day, international show jumping, pony club games, a kids zone and show hunter ponies.
Founded in 1868 by the RDS, the show has become a highlight of the summer for equestrian and non-equestrian visitors, each year welcoming thousands of people from Ireland and all over the world.
The world-renowned international Aga Khan Trophy will also be up for grabs on Friday, with equestrian star Conor Swail flying the flag for Ireland.
