Padraig Harrington lies well placed behind world number one Tiger Woods and Dane Thomas Bjorn who kept their two-shot lead in the Dubai Desert Classic after the delayed first round was completed this morning.

Spaniard Jose Manuel Lara and Harrington, two shots behind when bad light curtailed play on Thursday, were joined by five more players completing six-under-par rounds of 66.

The group comprised world number four Lee Westwood, fellow Briton Phillip Price, Argentine Angel Cabrera, Zimbabwean Mark McNulty and South African Trevor Immelman.

Westwood birdied two of his remaining three holes when play recommenced at 7.20 a.m. (03.20 GMT) and then kept his form over the early holes of his second round with two more birdies on the front nine to join the leaders on eight under.

Cabrera was also enjoying the morning sunshine as he found three early birdies to reach nine under par.
