A handgun and two grenades were seized in west Dublin last night by gardai investigating organised crime.
The discovery was made by gardai from the Organised Crime Unit who stopped a car as part of Operation Anvil in on Walkinstown Road at about 9pm.
A man (44) and a woman (45) were arrested during the search and are being held in Garda stations in South Dublin under Section 30 Offences against the State Act.
