A man in his 70s has been arrested after a gun was seized at a house in Limerick city this morning.
Gardaí were called to an incident at the house at Seán Heuston Place at around 7am.
A gun and a quantity of ammunition were found at the scene.
The man was arrested and is being detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
