Gardaí searching for three missing people

Gardaí in Mullingar are seeking information about the whereabouts of a 16-year-old girl who has been missing for two weeks.

Marie McDonnagh Greene was last seen at her accommodation in Mullingar on the night of December 21st.

She is described at being five feet, five inches tall; of slim build; and with brown eyes and reddish hair. She was wearing jeans, trainers and a light-coloured tracksuit top. Gardaí believe she may be in visit Donegal, Drogheda or Dundalk.

Elsewhere, searches continued today for two people feared drowned over Christmas.

The Coastguard and the Garda Water Unit today searched the sea around Bray Head for 78-year-old Maura Reynolds who has been missing since Christmas night.

Ms Reynolds, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, went missing from Tara Nursing Home on Putland Road in Bray.

She is described as five feet, four inches in height, with white hair, and she walks with a slight stoop. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bray Garda station at 01-6665300.

Gardaí in Co Kildare have resumed their search today for a 63-year-old Athy man who went missing in the town on Friday afternoon.

John Quinn was last seen in the Townspark area, near the River Barrow, at 3pm on December 30th, wearing a three-quarter length green suede coat, grey trousers and black shoes.

He is described as being approximately five feet, 10 inches in height; of thin build;with grey, receding hair.
