Gardaí in Dublin and Wexford are anxious to trace possible witnesses following the deaths of two people at the weekend. Kitty Holland reports.

In Co Wexford gardaí are appealing for assistance following the death of a man aged 20. The man was found lying by the side of the road at Kellystown, Adamstown, Enniscorthy shortly before 6 a.m. yesterday. He appeared to have been the victim of a hit-and-run. He died at Wexford General Hospital yesterday. Information should be given to gardaí at New Ross on (051) 426030.

Gardaí in Dublin are seeking two people following the death of a man, aged 48. He was found lying on the footpath at the junction of Fairview Crescent and Charlemont Road, in the Howth Road area, at about 3.15 p.m. on Saturday. He later died at the Mater hospital. There was indication of neither a car accident nor violence having contributed to his death. It is thought he had a medical condition.

The Garda at Fitzgibbon Street would like to talk to two people who helped at the scene. The first is a woman in her late 30s with brown hair. She was accompanied by a boy aged about eight years. The second is a man wearing motorcycle gear. They are asked to contact Fitzgibbon Street on (01) 666 8400.
