A man in his 50s has died following a head-on collision with a lorry in Co Meath this morning.
Gardaí from Kinnegad are investigating the crash, which occurred on Main Street, Clonard, Co Meath at around 11am.
The man who died was the driver of the car and is the fifth fatality on the roads since Friday evening. His front seat male passenger was taken to Mullingar Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
The driver of the lorry was treated for shock at the scene.
