Two detective gardai have travelled to the United States to interview a man who is being held on suspicion of being involved in a fatal stabbing in Galway two months ago. The gardai believe the man may have vital information about the murder of Mr Malcolm O'Shaughnessy (22) in William Street West on August 1st.
US police apprehended the Californian some weeks ago, and a search is continuing for a second man they believe was involved in the incident. Gardai enlisted the help of Interpol in an effort to trace the two suspects, who left the country shortly after the murder.
