Gardai have identified the body of a young man who was recovered from the Blessington lakes in Co Wicklow yesterday. They will not be releasing the man's name until relatives have been contacted. The body was seen floating in the water by workmen at around 1 p.m. yesterday afternoon and removed to Naas General Hospital. Gardai believe that the man drowned.
Meanwhile, a post mortem was carried out yesterday at Loughlinstown Hospital on the body of a man found at Shanganagh cliffs, near Shankill in south Co Dublin. The body was found by a group of people walking on the beach on Tuesday evening.
