Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses after the body of a man was found at a residence on High Street in the city yesterday evening.
Gardaí confirmed this afternoon the investigation has been upgraded to a murder enquiry.
The body, which was found at around 8.30pm last night, has been identified as Donal Manley (62) of High Street, Cork.
A post mortem, which was carried out this morning to establish the cause of death indicates that he died as a result of serious head injuries
