Men's magazine Fronttoday claimed responsibility for helping a man sneak into Manchester United's Champions League team picture.

Manchester United's millionaire players were left bemused when the Cantona lookalike wandered on to the Bayern Munich pitch and took part in the team photograph.

Fronteditor Piers Hernu said the man used a Manchester United pass card of some kind to get near the pitch and then just strode on to get his picture taken.

Hernu claimed that after getting his picture taken the man went back to the side of the pitch to watch the game.

The Guardian's website named the man as Carl Power from Droylsden, Greater Manchester.

Noel Edmonds and Vanessa Feltz have fallen victim to previous Frontpublicity stunts.
