Four men arrested over firearms offences

Four men were arrested in Dublin this afternoon for unauthorised possession of firearms.

Four men were arrested in Dublin this afternoon for unauthorised possession of firearms.

The men, aged in their 30s and 40s were arrested at an address in Market Green, Balbriggan, shortly after 3pm this afternoon.

Gardaí arrested the men as part of an investigation into cash-in-transit robberies.

The men are being held at Balbriggan, Santry and Drogheda Garda Stations under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act.

Three vehicles and a firearm were seized during the raid.
