Washington - The Ukraine's former prime minister, Mr Pavlo Lazarenko, was in US custody yesterday following his arrest on Saturday by immigration authorities at New York's John F. Kennedy airport, US officials said.
Mr Lazarenko was detained on suspicion of illegally entering the United States. He was lacking proper travel documents, including a visa, according to Mr Russ Bergeron of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service.
