Boston - Scientists have found new evidence that long flights can cause potentially fatal lung clots after studying millions of passengers who arrived at France's Charles de Gaulle Airport from 1993 to 2000.

Researchers also found that the longer the flight, the greater the risk to passengers. But the overall risk of developing those potentially life-threatening clots was relatively low, they said in a study published in today's edition of the New England Journal of Medicine.
