Fines for social security fraud

A man caught drawing social security benefit on both sides of the Border has been fined £150 at Cookstown Magistrates Court

A man caught drawing social security benefit on both sides of the Border has been fined £150 at Cookstown Magistrates Court. Gerard Cawley (26), of Fairmount Park, Dungannon, Co Tyrone, admitted receiving benefit in Dungannon and also in Monaghan town.

At the same court, Joseph Doyle (38), labourer, of Annagher Road, Coalisland, was also fined £150 for claiming benefit while working on a building site in Co Meath.
