Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed his interest in unsettled Celtic midfielder Colin Healy.

The Republic of Ireland international has become disillusioned with life on the Parkhead sidelines and could leave the club when the transfer window re-opens in January.

However, with finances still a problem at the Goodison Park club despite a healthy start to the season, Moyes recognises he has other factors to consider before making his move.

Moyes told the Daily Record: "I've told our chief executive Bill Kenwright that Colin is a player I'd like to see at the club but there are other priorities."

Healy almost secured a World Cup berth in the summer but Roy Keane's ignominious exit from the Irish squad came too late for Fifa officials to sanction the call-up.

The 22-year-old has made only two starts for the Hoops this season - against FK Suduva in the second leg of the Uefa Cup tie where Celtic lead 8-1 after the first game and in the CIS Insurance Cup at home to Inverness.
