Ennis added another award to its recent successes when the Clare capital was named at a Kilkenny ceremony yesterday as the national winner in the FAS Community Initiative Awards competition. The award was presented for the Mill Road Amenity Project developed by Ennis Civic Trust on the town's river banks.
Ennis was recently chosen as the Information Age Town, which will bring it technology worth £15 million.
