It's worth noting that the National College of Art and Design's first-year (core) course leads to specialisation in design (craft, fashion, textiles or visual communication) or fine art (painting, sculpture or printmaking) or joint courses in any of the foregoing and taken in equal measure with history of art or history of art and design.
