A Dublin priest, Tony Walsh (43), has been remanded on continuing bail and his case is to be mentioned before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court next Monday to fix a date for sentence. Walsh, with an address at Bunratty Road in Coolock, Dublin, has admitted five charges of having indecently assaulted young boys, both in Dublin and once in Kerry, during the 1980s. He pleaded guilty in June to seven similar charges.

The court ordered the preparation of victim impact reports on six boys, some of whom were as young as 10 when abused by Walsh.

Ms Mary Ellen Ring, prosecuting, said it would take some time to hear all the evidence and she asked that the case be mentioned next week when a sentence date will be fixed.

Walsh was a member of the All Priests Show which toured Ireland in the early 1980s.
