U2 will confirm today that they will play a concert in Landsdowne Road on Saturday, August 30th. This statement ends months of speculation about the band's plans to play in their home city and follows news that their proposed concert in the Phoenix Park was cancelled for a variety of financial and logistical reasons.
Tickets for the Landsdowne Road concert will go on sale on July 5th, priced from £20 upwards (excluding booking fee). The support band will be Northern Irish band, Ash.
