The Minister for Justice has been called on to increase Garda resources in Dublin following two gun attacks in Tallaght on Tuesday night. Gardaí are also investigating a third shooting in Crumlin on Wednesday morning.
One man was shot at a house on Homeland Road, Tallaght, shortly after 10pm on Tuesday. The 33-year-old was shot a number of times and taken to Tallaght hospital. A second man, aged 50, was shot shortly afterwards in a laneway at St Dominic's Park. He was wounded in the leg and treated in hospital.
The third man (31) was shot shortly before 3am on Wednesday in a house at Monasterboice Road, Crumlin. He was wounded in the arm and taken to St James's Hospital.
