A Dublin businessman who made a record €9 million payment to the Revenue for unpaid taxes was today jailed for three months for tax evasion.

Leslie Reynolds, from Sutton, Dublin, was also fined €12,695 at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court after he was found to have spent 18 years avoiding paying tax.

The 71-year-old used special bank accounts in Dublin and businesses in Spain and England in an effort to hide the money trail.
