Device made safe in Dublin

A viable explosive device was made safe in Dublin by an Army bomb disposal team in the early hours of this morning.

A viable explosive device was made safe in Dublin by an Army bomb disposal team in the early hours of this morning.

The unit was deployed to an address on Lismore Road in Crumlin at 2am following a request by gardai.

A number of houses in the immediate area were evacuated.

The device was removed from the scene and the area was declared safe at 2.50am.
