DCC acquires chemical treatment company

Food and services conglomerate DCC has acquired a Co Clare-based chemical treatment company for €6.5 million in cash.

Food and services conglomerate DCC has acquired a Co Clare-based chemical treatment company for €6.5 million in cash.

Shannon Environmental Services (SES) reported operating profits of about €900,000 in 2002 and had net assets of some €2.5 million.

The company will become part of DCC Environmental, which specialises in oil recycling and the treatment of contaminated soil.
