The body of slain US reporter Daniel Pearl is being flown home to his family today, more than six months after his murder in Pakistan.
Pearl was kidnapped in Karachi on January 23rd while investigating Islamic militants.

Police believe he was killed by his captors within two weeks of his disappearance. The kidnappers filmed his decapitation, and sent the recording to the US consulate on February 21st.
Pearl's mutilated body was dug up from a shallow grave on May 17th in a vacant plot on the city's outskirts, next to a blood-stained hut.
The body parts were kept in a mortuary while DNA and other forensic test were carried out to determine they were his.
The results were only made public last month, after four Islamic militants were convicted of plotting to kidnap and murder the reporter. The convicted ringleader, British militant Omar Ahmed Saeed Sheikh, was sentenced to death by hanging, and his three abettors were sentenced to life prison.
All four men have lodged appeals, which are set to be heard next week.
