A new phase in cross Border co operation in tourism training began yesterday with the first top level joint meeting of CERT and the Tourism and Hospitality Council of Northern Ireland.

Aimed at improving the quality of tourism services throughout the island, the initiative follows the unveiling of a new all Ireland brand earlier this week.

As a result of the meeting, the two tourism agencies are to establish working groups on issues such as the overall image of the industry, the attitude of employers, and the impressions which students have of working in tourism.
