Cannabis growing operation found in Co Louth house

Gardaí estimate haul of mature plants and harvested material worth €40,000

A cannabis growing operation was discovered when gardaí searched a house in Dromiskin, Co Louth on Monday.

Gardaí based in Ardee said 43 mature cannabis plants were discovered during the operation.

A “significant quantity” of harvested cannabis was also seized during the raid, the force said.

The plants were stored close together in a small heated room, along with several fans, according to photographs released by the Garda Press Office.

The estimated total street value of the seizure was €40,000.

“No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing,” a Garda spokesman said.
