Miami - A DC-8 cargo aircraft with four people on board crashed yesterday, skidded across a motorway and hit a building next to Miami International Airport just after take-off. A motorist who saw the crash said: "The whole street was in flames. It was a whole plane on fire that went across the street."

Police said the four crew members were presumed dead and that some people on the ground had received minor injuries.

The aircraft belonged to Fine Air, a maintenance and air cargo company that flies to 18 Latin American countries, and was headed for Santo Domingo. - (AFP)
