Rome - The trial of former Italian Prime Minister, Mr Bettino Craxi and 33 other people accused of embezzling $1bn collapsed yesterday, with the judge calling for a new investigation into the case. Mr Craxi, who has been living in Tunisia to avoid prosecution, former socialist foreign minister Mr Gianni De Michelis and 32 others were to stand trial for embezzlement.
