Farm House Bakery, Sarsfield Road, Cork, announced yesterday that it will close on September 27th, and that three of its five retail units in Cork city and suburbs have been sold.
It is hoped that many of the 23 jobs at Farm House will be saved. Brudairs Bakery of Drumcollogher, Co Limerick, has purchased two Farm House shops - at Wilton Shopping Centre and Douglas Court Shopping Centre. The shop at Paul Street Shopping Centre has been purchased by Twomeys of Drumcollogher. Farm House shops will continue to trade at Oliver Plunkett Street and at Quinnsworth in Douglas Shopping Centre.
