1. Are you a saver or a spender?
I am trying very hard to be both and, while I am improving on the saving front, the spendthrift habits of a lifetime are hard to shake off.
2. Do you shop around for better value?
No. I am a shopper by necessity not pleasure so I confine the pain to one location.
3. What has been your most extravagant purchase ever and how much did it cost?
A painting which cost less than you think but more than I would normally spend.
4. What purchase have you made that you consider the best value for money?
Our puppy, now fully grown, who has paid back every cent invested with her great personality and joie de vivre.
5. Have you ever crossed the Border to shop?
No, never.
6. Do you haggle over prices?
I have tried looking for my recession discount recently. Mixed success.
7. Has the recession changed your spending habits?
Yes, I spend less and worry more.
8. Do you invest in shares?
No.
9. Cash or card?
Mostly card.
