There are increasing opportunities in online advertising, an Internet industry conference will be told today.

A top executive from online social networking site Bebo.com is to address delegates at the annual Irish Internet Association (IIA) congress about advertising online. Other speakers include executives from Google, Ebay and Yahoo.

"More money is flowing into online advertising than ever before," said Jim Scheinmann, vice-president of Business Development and Sales at Bebo.com.

Other topics to be discussed at the day-long event include e-commerce security, online marketing, hosting and domain issues and the growth of online search and advertising.

According to Fergal O'Byrne, chief executive of the IIA, the event will feature conference-style presentations and also "unique in-the-round sessions" that will enable delegates to tap into teams of experts in Internet security, online marketing, hosting and domain issues, user experience and legal issues.

The day-long event is taking place at the Fitzpatrick Hotel in Killiney, Co Dublin, and over 300 industry professionals will attend the event.
