Customs officers at Dublin airport have seized cocaine worth €70,000.

Customs officers at Dublin airport have seized cocaine worth €70,000.

The drugs were found in the form of 79 pellets that had been swallowed by a woman who had arrived on a flight from Amsterdamm the Revenue Commissioners said.

The woman (29), a Dutch national, was detained by Customs officers and handed over to the Garda in Santry.

She was found to have swallowed the drugs and is due to appear in court later today.

Drugs with an estimated street value of €5.1 million have been seized by Customs officers in Dublin airport in 2007.
