The death has taken place in Galway of Mr Alan Heussaff, a Breton nationalist during the second World War, granted political asylum in Ireland after the war.

Mr Heussaff was a founder-member of the Celtic League in 1961 and its secretary-general until 1986. In 1986 he and his wife moved to An Spideal in the Cois Fharraige Gaeltacht, where he will be buried tomorrow.
