A woman who attacked her then boyfriend leaving him with a lacerated scrotum has been given a suspended sentence.
Lisa Moran (42), of O'Devaney Gardens, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to recklessly assaulting Eamon Desmond causing him harm on June 5th, 2007, at his home at Annamoe Drive, Dublin. Judge Martin Nolan was told Moran had been out socialising and heard "rumours" that Mr Desmond had made "disparaging" comments about her daughter. It was accepted the injury was caused by Moran's belt buckle.
