Newcastle - A traditionalist vicar yesterday called for a bishop to be "disciplined" after accusing him of defying Anglican church law by saying he was prepared to bless gay couples.

The Bishop of Jarrow, who insisted his stance was covered by the 1991 report by the Anglican bishops, and the Rev David Holloway clashed on a BBC Radio Newcastle talk show.
