Berlitz GlobalNET, the Dun Laoghaire based e-commerce company, has invested €1 million in the official multilingual website of the 2003 Special Olympics World Games to be held in Ireland.

Berlitz has localised the official World Games website into nine languages, having translated over 750,000 words to date.

While over 50 languages will be spoken at the 2003 World Games, the six official languages of the Games are English, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Spanish and French.

The World Games will be the largest sporting event in the world in 2003 and will bring 9,000 athletes and coaches from over 160 countries to Ireland.

Over 28,000 family members and supporters are expected to travel here for the Games.
