Ms Aine Miller has won this year's Orla Benson Bursary, which supports students in the School of Biotechnology at Dublin City University. Aine is a first-year postgraduate from Portlaoise, Co Laois, who is doing research on the health benefits from conjugated linoleic acid, a naturally occurring fatty acid found in milk and dairy fats. The annual bursary is funded by the Benson family in memory of Orla from Killarney, Co Kerry, who had finished her honours degree in biotechnology at DCU. Tragically she was murdered in Boston in September 1995 only three weeks before her graduation.
