Bail totalling £42,000 was fixed in Limerick City Court yesterday by Judge Michael Reilly for two Claremen who appeared on charges of possession of cannabis resin, valued at £370,000. The hearing was adjourned for one week.

Mr Michael O'Halloran (26) of Sandfield Mews, Ennis, was released on personal bail of £1,000 and an independent surety of £20,000 put up by an Ennis businessman.

Mr Caiman McNamara (23) Limerick Road, Newmarket-on-Fergus, was remanded in custody with consent to a similar bail order.
