MANAMA - Bahrain yesterday said it had foiled an Iranian backed plot to overthrow the government and was recalling its ambassador in Tehran. A government spokesman said the plot involved an armed revolution to topple the government and replace it with a pro Iranian regime. Iran denied the allegation.
