Attempt to hijack Dublin-Belfast train fails

Two men failed in their attempt to hijack the Dublin-Belfast Enterprise train this morning.

Two men failed in their attempt to hijack the Dublin-Belfast Enterprise train this morning.

At around 9.20 a.m. two masked men, one carrying a firearm, attempted to board the train at Kilmore, near Lurgan, Co Antrim.

A window was smashed during the incident, but the driver managed to complete the journey to Belfast unhurt, and raised the alarm there.

Police investigating the incident are appealing for information.
