Rangers defender Lorenzo Amoruso has been found guilty by the Scottish Football Association's disciplinary committee of spitting at Ayr striker James Grady.

Amoruso has been given an immediate two-match ban and 12 points have been added to his disciplinary tally which effectively gives him another two-match ban.

At the moment, the Italian defender is set to miss tomorrow night's SPL match against Motherwell but he would be free to play if he delivered an appeal to the SFA offices in the morning.

The SFA disciplinary committee is unlikely to hear an appeal before the weekend and it could be up to two weeks before they reconvene to consider the matter.
