Gardai are investigating the alleged attempted abduction of a 9-year-old girl in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, yesterday afternoon.
The girl's family reported that a wine-coloured car stopped beside her, and a male driver offered her a lift. The girl ran off. She described the driver as a blonde man in his 30s, with earrings in his left ear. She said he spoke with a local accent.
