The Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs, Mr Ahern, restated his commitment to supporting second-chance education programmes for the unemployed.
He said unemployed people must be given the opportunities to acquire new skills to help break the cycle of joblessness. Up to 10,000 unemployed people are preparing to return to full-time education this year.
