Some 26 fishing vessels have been approved for £600,000 in modernisation grants as part of the Government's whitefish fleet renewal scheme. The full investment in the 26 vessels amounts to £2.7 million.
This brings the total investment in the modernisation to £6.8 million, the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, Dr Woods, said yesterday.
