A double rapist who slashed another prisoner's face with a razor blade has been jailed for an extra five years by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Gerard Rowe (33), originally from Dean Coogan Place, Navan, Co Meath, who is serving a 20-year sentence for raping two women in the same week, pleaded guilty to attacking paedophile Edward Ganey in the kitchen of Arbour Hill prison. Ganey later received 25 stitches to the face and neck.
