A 15-year-old schoolgirl, who suffered a broken right arm and has been left with a permanent scar on her elbow, has been awarded £29,000 damages in the Circuit Civil Court. Catherine O'Heaire, Mellowes Road, Finglas, Dublin, was struck by the wing mirror of an untraced car and knocked to the roadway.
Mr David Hegarty, counsel for Catherine, said the Motor Insurance Bureau of Ireland had made a £29,000 settlement offer and he was recommending its approval.
