A Dublin man who raped his infant daughter has been jailed for 12 years by Mr Justice Smith at the Central Criminal Court. The child's mother didn't believe her and slapped her when she revealed the abuse.
Mr Justice Smith noted the 40-year-old man first sexually molested his daughter when she was four years old and this continued until she was eight. A psychiatric report showed he was not suffering from any mental illness and was fully responsible for his actions.
